Donny Osmond, 67, Hints at ‘Inevitable’ Career Move During ‘The View’ Appearance

Introduction:

Donny Osmond recently hinted at an “inevitable” career move during a recent appearance on The View.

On March 13, the former teen heartthrob was a featured guest on the talk show, during which he spoke about his Las Vegas residency and reflected on his decades-long career.

Osmond’s career began as part of the family singing group The Osmonds at just 5. After kicking off a solo career in 1971, he teamed up with his sister, Marie Osmond, for the variety show Donny & Marie in 1976. He also starred in several Broadway productions and films while continuing his passion for music.

Now 67, Osmond has enjoyed more than 60 years in the entertainment industry.

“What do you credit your longevity to, and do you ever anticipate stepping away or taking a break? The View co-host Sara Haines.

“It’s coming. Let’s be honest, it’s inevitable,” Osmond confessed of retirement.

“No, it’s not!” co-host Joy Behar exclaimed.

“I love what I do. I really enjoy it,” Osmond explained. “I’ve got a great job. My job is to make people happy. How can you complain about that?”

Still, the “Go Away Little Girl” crooner admitted, “Yet, it’s a lot of work. I put 100 percent into my show. But I still have a lot of fuel in this body, because I’ve raised the bar so high for myself.”

Osmond then hinted at his one stipulation for retiring.
